United Church Women

Quispamsis United Church is fortunate to have two active UCW groups. The Agnes Allingham UCW meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 1:30 pm in the Church Parlour. On the first (or sometimes third) Monday of the month, the Adelaide Barbour UCW meets in the same location at 7:30 pm.

Each of these groups of women enjoys the fellowship as they contribute to the life and work of Quispamsis United.  Fundraising from the two UCW groups has allowed the purchase of furniture for MacDonald Hall, educational materials for the Godly play Sunday School program and contributed to various Outreach projects, including the filling of Christmas shoe boxes each November.

Both UCW groups make an effort to send cards to members of our congregation when they are celebrating milestones or when they are experiencing personal illness or loss.

The traditional “kitchen” duties are also a key part of the UCW groups. Providing refreshments  for  important occasions is the work of many hands and the efforts of the UCW’s  are sincerely appreciated by the congregation.
